This car was presented in Birmingham International Motor Show 1988 as a rally car prototype and this was initially planned to compete in A8 Class. However, at January 1990, the project was cancelled and Cavalier 4x4 Rally Car was replaced by Calibra 4x4 Rally Car without having competed a single rally.
