2022-05-07 16:40 | I'm curious to know the story about this one. I know BAIC, prior to 2010, was building Chrysler 300s in China, through the Beijing-Benz joint venture, and this is clearly based on the first generation LX platform 300. I assume BAIC wanted to continue building the early 300, with restyling to fit under their own brand, but it was probably halted because of the split of the DaimlerChrysler merger and Chrysler might have denied BAIC the rights to use the body of the 300 after production of the 300 itself ended in 2009. It would essentially have been to China as the SEAT Exeo was to Spain.

2022-05-06 05:00 | Late response, I know, but it's actually NOT a licensed version of the Alto. In fact, when this was in production, the actual Alto was being built in China by Changan Suzuki. So, it's a full-on knock-off, not licensed.

Its top speed is like 90km/h, it was made in 1996 (i dunno if it is end or start of production) and its model name should be 2000, if I recall correctly. It looks way much faster than it is. The General Motors EV1, I think.

As this car was also exhibited at the 1980 British International Motor Show. No we only do the first event where it was presented. From what I can find online, the British show was held in October, while Geneva was in March, so technically it would first have been presented in Geneva. -- Last edit: 2022-04-04 09:25:35

Desscythe17 2022-02-16 11:28 | I think the Jogger is more difficult, because the Logan MCV was already a mix between wagon and MPV, and now the Jogger combines that with SUV. But I regard the Legacy Outback as a wagon, so I would say the same about the Jogger.
Desscythe17 2022-02-16 11:24 | Yeah, it’s not very easy to tell. I added the Ioniq 5 as SUV, and I think the Mégane E-Tech is similar in shape. A lot of brands are now expanding their crossover lineups and have them overlapping in the same segment, so I think it’s okay to have them all as SUV. For Renault, the E-Tech is of course succeeding the Mégane, the Captur is more of a successor to the small Modus MPV, and the Kadjar/Austral is taking over from the Scénic MPV. But I think they are all crossover SUVs, and the Dutch Renault website also calls it a crossover.
Rinspeed 2022-02-16 10:04 | Desscythe17 wrote Hatchback? Isn’t it a crossover SUV? it's a mix so i don't know. It's more a hatchback for them (to not compete with Captur or Austral). I have the same problem with the Dacia Jogger> SUV? Break?
