It's a good thing that so many countries are actually setting goals like this.

carcrazedalex586 2017-06-05 10:21 | My mother had the Grand Scénic. Ever since it was sold in 2011, she regrets buying another French car. She's a lot happier with the 2016 Kia Rio Sedan.
Mark0 2017-06-02 10:06 | Will new Megane still run with 2.0 engine? I mean engine will have short life time if they put 1.6 and they want to compete with Civic Type R and Golf R who have 2.0 engine's, and Focus RS with 2.3 one.

Mark0 2016-10-01 14:03 | They should make some sport car. After all they are in F1 as constructor and engine manufacturer. You don't go to F1 to promote Twingo and Clio -- Last edit: 2016-10-01 14:04:13
Desscythe17 2016-10-01 13:24 | Mark0 wrote Renault always have nice concepts and last great car they made was Clio V6. I personally really like the Mégane RS as well, but I know what you mean. The concepts are just used for design elements, and the extravagant sports concepts are not actually going to see production. Saying that though, the car that started out as the Dezir, then became some Alpine idea and now this Trezor all share some similarities, so maybe Renault is thinking about a new sportscar. -- Last edit: 2016-10-01 13:25:26

Mark0 2016-02-13 08:40 | Since i my family restore classic cars i have driven many of them and i must say it's hell a lot harder to drive 1970's-1980's Mini with 60-70hp than new my brother 2003 Mini with 120hp. There are no electronics and servo helpers or so. Funny thing when i was Track Day with my friend and first i was driving his 2012 BMW 535d with 313hp and then my MG B GT with 120hp. That BMW was child play even if it has over 300hp.

Laguna - 1.6, 107hp, roughly 1350 kg Thalia - 1.2, 75hp, roughly 1000 kg or less My dad usually drive as a complete lunatic, but amount of force that pushed me back with every acceleration was huge. Laguna with hammer down dont act like this, you dont feel much acceleration in it. Yes my sister actually has a 2005 Clio with the 1.6 110hp engine. It's a very feisty car, and I can imagine it has that same character even with a smaller engine.
JFK 2016-02-13 00:34 | Desscythe17 wrote I wouldn't say frightening, but the difference would definitely be noticable. I remember after I got my driver's license (I had lessons in a 2010 Polo 1.2 Diesel with 75hp) I got to drive my father's car, a 2003 Honda Accord 2.4 with 190hp. That car was a lot heavier than the Polo, but it was so difficult in the beginning to not launch forward when pressing the gas pedal. It felt like 190hp was like 300hp. Desscythe17 2016-02-13 00:05 | JFK wrote From that point of view yeah. I dont remember much of this car (7,5 years old when it was sold), but after riding 1st gen Thalia with basic 1.2 engine that had similar amount of power and weight like our 1.4 Chamade, it must be frightnening to ride Chamade with more horsepower than basic 60. JFK 2016-02-12 22:21 | Desscythe17 wrote Yes that is true, but if you don't consider the sport model, it still is the most powerful, which I think is quite a feat. 89hp for a diesel engine in 1989 is also quite formidable I think. JFK 2015-12-12 22:37 | Desscythe17 wrote I don't know how you feel about it, but here in the Netherlands, this car has a bad reputation for electronic problems. Hell yeah. What a bright idea to buy french car fitted with lot of new electronic stuff from 1st year of production. In the way to southern Croatia (about 2 days of driving), electronic on sister door somewhat failed to hold the window up and we were driving all the way to Croatia with one window down (and I am not even talking about sleeping in Slovenia in some village on intersection with that issue). Few days after we bought this car the instrument panel broke down completly, meaning that we were driving few months with panel deatached (yes, we were seeing all the wires and everything). After we bought new tires and instead of oxygen, service filled it with nitrogene (tire stays filled for a longer period of time), the panel that show state of wheels is showing that tires are flat or we dont have wheel at all. -- Last edit: 2015-12-12 22:39:00
