Only in my 'perfect' country RHD cars are banned...

What about importing cars witch are not in regular sale?

Here you can import any car if it is at least Euro 3 (so you can't import cars from USA or Japan) or be at least 30 year old .

I think you can import almost any car to the Netherlands, as long as you are willing to pay enormous taxes to compensate for how "dirty" the car is in terms of emissions and how much fuel it consumes.

Here in the US, RHD is mainly for postal use only, though once retired from service, they can be sold to the public.

On the reverse, in Japan, new cars that are LHD are perfectly legal. In fact, some manufacturers offer imported vehicles in LHD instead of RHD.

Chevrolet and Cadillac are two of the best examples.

In Japan, Chevrolet has three cars, and the only RHD one offered is the Captiva, imported from South Korea. The other two are the LHD Camaro and Corvette.

The entire Cadillac lineup in Japan is LHD directly imported from North America.

Other US market vehicles that aren't sold in Japan are easily imported and sold.

Here, on this site, you can find all sorts of cars for sale in Japan, including numerous US market cars and trucks. Ford F-150s, Toyota Tacomas, Honda Ridgelines, Toyota Siennas, etc.

A total of 26 Hyperminis made their way to the US. 15 of them were used by University of California, Davis, and the city of Pasadena, CA recieved 11.

The ones that made it to the US even remained right hand drive instead of being built in left hand drive configuration.
