Desscythe17 2019-07-02 20:42 | With the B-body Catalina and Bonneville being discontinued in 1981, Pontiac missed a lot of potential full-size car sales, with long-time customers buying at other brands. Pontiac realized they needed a full-size car for the time being, and decided to import the Canadian-built Parisienne to the United States. The Parisienne looked like a Pontiac, but was actually built on Chevrolet underpinnings, making it a lot cheaper than bringing back the discontinued Bonneville. |
