Ford is an American company, and the Fusion launched 2 years before the Mondeo, so that would be reason for US origin. However, the Mondeo has always been a German Ford, and a big part of the design and mechanicals was probably done in Europe, which is reason for German origin. I personally don't think German origin would make sense on this car, but it's not really my decision what origin the Mondeo is.

Maybe "intercontinental" flag (showing the little globe instead of flag) could became a thing. For instance newest Falcon isnt an 100% aussie thing too, and it is based on Mondeo afaik. -- Last edit: 2016-04-20 15:33:23

I think the Mondeo has a majority of its features from Germany, so I think German flag for that car and American flag for the Fusion is fine. -- Last edit: 2016-04-20 16:31:47
