According to Wikipedia, all V40 Quests were built in Avon Lake, Ohio.

The first Quest rolled off the assembly line on April 14th, 1992 as an early ´93.

This page is dedicated to the Japanese-market Nissan Quest.

Maybe it was just imported, not modified. The pictures are definitely from the Japanese catalogue

Well it was sold on the Japanese market from 95 to 99, and these pictures are from a Japanese catalogue, just like webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=5455 and webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=5464 for example.
