Technically, you're right, as there was another Safrane between this and the original.

From 2008-10, the Safrane was a rebadged second generation SM5.

This being a rebadged 3rd generation SM5, that would indeed make this a 3rd generation Safrane.

At some point, this was facelifted. It has different lights nowadays.
