In 2019, Portugal Touring Car Championship was renamed to Campeonato Open de Velocidade de Portugal. It featured TCR Classes.

Only two drivers have raced in the championship and Pedro Marques finished 2nd, although that his results weren't counted to final standings, as he did not attend a minimum of three rounds.
