On a side note, isn't the Renault Fuego extremely rare nowadays? I've been to France many many times, yet I've never seen one in person.

Driving through Patagonia in this, Jeremy Clarkson created enormous controversy because of the registration plate "H982 FKL". It was allegedly a reference to the Falklands War, however the BBC maintains that it is no such thing.

mmm i thing it's the same problem than th Eu version, the rear pic isn't from the >95.

For the pics, i think like that it was Japan version.

For my book: my book said (book for france):
Honda Accord:
-New Gen in summer 1993
- Coupe and Break in june 1994
- New engine and lifted sedan in december 1995
- New engine TDI in march 1996
- Lifted Coupe in april 1996
...
There is also an official pic of the Coupe that is a lifted version with the text. I will see also in my magazin of 1996 to see if there is some informations.

As for the current pictures, the background and license plates are typically Japanese, and the steering wheel is on the right side. (Also they are from autowp.ru, which says it's the Accord SiR, which was only sold in Japan)
Furthermore, you talk about a facelift in 1996, but I believe that's only for the sedan, as the sedan was different for Europe from the rest of the world, while the coupé was imported from the United States.

Tell me if i am wrong, but it looks like the previous generation was sold longer in Europe until 1998 while this generation was only sold in Japan and South America (i found a car from Peru in web).

But what i can definetely tell is that this car with those tail lights was not sold in Germany.
