i had another idea. A system of election vote:
For example each week (or less?) there is a question and a list of 10 cars (that was post by a member before):
For example: Best Concept in Frankfurt? Most Iconic Car in Dakar? Most Beautiful Super Mini cars? Most ugly car? Best James Bond cars? etc
Each member can vote by classing 1 to 10 each cars and each car have (as Eurovision) 12pts,10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. And at the end of the week the results are revealed.
What do you think of that?

I like your idea too!

yes and no, FIA had do this system to encourage wining race. It's not the case here, i want to have more possibility to have changes. If a car had 2 1st place, already 50 pts, and the 2dn 36 (if 2x18), it will be very difficult to change the positions after that. The system of points of Eurovision is good for that (and it's similar, it's vote like the idea)

Sounds good! Anything that stimulates interaction between members on webcarstory is good I think.

Hmm.. I see.

Well, it was just a suggestion. Eurovision's points system is also a good idea in my opinion. ;)

Good idea.

But we could classify with FIA's Scoring System: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1

Or maybe, we could do an top 10 of each month of the year...

For example: Portugal Janaury 1996...

Here in Serbian we don't have numbers for one year let alone for every month :)

I get your idea, but I'm not sure if we can realize it. For example, in the Netherlands, people buy way more second-hand cars than new cars, but people like you and me can't access that data. So it's extremely difficult to make a top 10 for every year for as many countries as possible.

yes we hadn't the data for that

Like that: Number one in CZ in 2008 is Skoda Felicia with registered 405 927 cars, and average age of 11.35 years; second is Fabia with blah blah blah... In eastern countries cars are much older, so if you want to imagine typical eastern road, Top 10 sold cars in that year is irrelevant. I saw the brand new Fabia once, although it is one of the best selling new car here, but streets are here flooded with rusted out Felicias. Top 10 table is pretty much suitable for this kind of entries.

Did you understood it now? :)

The pic is okay.
I have got an idea: We can have similar page as Top 10, but with most cars registered in the state in specific year. It could be cool to see which state have newest cars in average and which got oldest. I think that CZ have more or less 15 years old cars in average (and I dunno why is EU so bothered about this).
