Anyone else notice the Michigan Manufacturer's Plate in the front image? Bit strange for a car that wasn't sold by Mitsubishi in the US (as Mitsubishi didn't sell the Mirage in the US themselves until the second gen in '85, before that Mirages were only sold in the US as captive imports by Dodge/Plymouth).

They did that more often, for various JDM cars. I guess it gave the promotional pics some international flair.
