Desscythe17 2019-04-26 12:23 | carcrasher88 a écrit Toyota announced today that Mark X production will come to an end in December. Which begs the question...what is the reason for it's discontinuation? Was the Crown RS (formerly Crown Athlete) stealing sales away from the Mark X? Will the Mark X's discontinuation be the saving grace for the (somewhat) related Lexus GS (Mark X being on the N platform, GS being on the New N platform), which was previously rumored to be on the chopping block? Could this also mean that there could now be room within the TNGA-N platform for a new generation of GS, since there won't be a corresponding Mark X to compete with? I think both the Mark X and GS are disappearing, since the traditional sedan market is shrinking. The GS is the same size as the previous Crown, and both are bigger than the Mark X, so I don't think those have anything to do with each other. |
