![]() ![]() 2022-07-16 22:33 | carcrasher88 wrote Looks SO much better without the additional two-tone colors. Also really wish they kept the proper Crown emblems, instead of replacing them with regular Toyota emblems. Takes away from the image of the Crown. The Crown has no brand recognition in North America, so it makes sense they just fit Toyota emblems. Also, different emblems might evoke the idea that the Crown is a premium/luxury Toyota, but they don't want it to get in the way of Lexus.

![]() 2022-06-18 01:21 | Pretty sweet way to make a nice looking, retro-themed kei car look even better. Apparently, Suzuki designed the LC to resemble the classic Fronte 360 of the late 60's.
![]() 2022-06-17 04:57 | Looks like a first-gen Mazda Premacy knockoff, and by extension, a Haima Freema knockoff (as the Freema was a licensed version of the Mazda).
![]() 2022-06-17 04:52 | Not sure what the nose would be, but the rest of it looks like they copied a T200 Daweoo Kalos/Chevrolet Aveo and put knockoff first gen Honda Fit rear lights on it.

![]() 2022-05-24 05:09 | Here, we see the result of Daimler reducing their share in the Denza joint-venture to 10%...BYD goes and makes a model that does exactly what Chinese manufacturers are known to do...they knock off at least one vehicle in the design. In this case, it's pretty clear that they ripped off the Toyota Alphard up front, and the Kia Carnival in the rear.

![]() 2022-05-07 16:40 | I'm curious to know the story about this one. I know BAIC, prior to 2010, was building Chrysler 300s in China, through the Beijing-Benz joint venture, and this is clearly based on the first generation LX platform 300. I assume BAIC wanted to continue building the early 300, with restyling to fit under their own brand, but it was probably halted because of the split of the DaimlerChrysler merger and Chrysler might have denied BAIC the rights to use the body of the 300 after production of the 300 itself ended in 2009. It would essentially have been to China as the SEAT Exeo was to Spain.
![]() 2022-05-06 05:06 | Seems to be basically China copying the Solectria Force, not bit-by-bit, but in concept. Basically a Geo Metro turned into an electric car.
![]() 2022-05-06 05:03 | Looks like they tried to put Camry styling (and a beluga-inspired hood) on a Corolla knockoff.
![]() 2022-05-06 05:00 | Late response, I know, but it's actually NOT a licensed version of the Alto. In fact, when this was in production, the actual Alto was being built in China by Changan Suzuki. So, it's a full-on knock-off, not licensed.
![]() 2022-05-04 23:57 | Good looking update, just a shame that they're dropping the turbocharged model. At least the Forte will still have it available.

![]() 2022-04-23 21:01 | JFK wrote This car reminds me some electric 1990s thing, could anyone discover what it is? Its top speed is like 90km/h, it was made in 1996 (i dunno if it is end or start of production) and its model name should be 2000, if I recall correctly. It looks way much faster than it is. The General Motors EV1, I think. |
