Good to see Vauxhall back in BTCC.

I'm adding the English versions of colours but is it a problem if the names are not the same (so not translations)? For example on the UK Fiat site Bleu Méditerannée is named Elba Blue (when the translation is Mediterranean Blue).

Really like the new look.

1996-99 models were a facelift with a slightly different grille and taillights as well as different engines. Separate page I guess?

I'm going to try and do as many Rovers as possible (I was working on those when I was first posting), do some Austins and Morrises (though these are more difficult to find info for) and also go through some Vauxhalls (but those are basically duplicates of the Opels so fairly straightforward).

Unveilled in 1992 but not sold until 1994.

Sold in UK as 'Roadster' since earlier this year:

sajmon14 is right, it has Opel on it only because it was entered by the GM dealersport team (this was towards the end of time that there were dealers that sold both Opel and Vauxhall). It was badged as a GTE (the Vauxhall version) and the picture is from the 1988 Lombard RAC Rally where entry number 15 was a Vauxhall Astra GTE raced by Derek Bell and Micheal Nicholson.
There was an Opel Kadett in that rally but from the GM Europe team, no 23 raced by Mats Jonsson and Lars Backman. -- Last edit: 2012-12-28 20:06:41 |

Congrats!

The range of models here is quite complicated, the XR6 and XR6 Turbo may need to be listed separately but they have the same motors as the G6 and G6 Turbo (but with a manual gearbox).
For the record, front view is G6 and rear view is XT. -- Last edit: 2012-12-21 04:34:53 |

In the UK the road car is sold as Gen-2 Persona.

I think it was 1993/94 for the Orion/Escort change over. The Orions with the facelift had a chrome bar across the grill that the later Escorts lacked.

Yes, working through it now.
Nice! Sorry, I've been away from the site so much lately BTW. Just so busy and distracted.
Parked next to a Pilgrim Bulldog.
Nice! I'd only seen the Coupe before and didn't know about this.
I'd suggest that model origin for this should be Australia, as the hatchback design was developed by Holden.

IMO, the new European Civic is a retrograde step from its excellent predecessor in styling terms. In Europe, Honda are increasingly seen as struggling. No one knows what they stand for any more.
Sold in the UK but only until the start of 2011.

I see one of these most days on my way to work. Numberplate is V6XGT IIRC.
Want.

I saw one of these the other day. It had two aerials and blue LEDs in the grill so I think it must have been some kind of unmarked police car.

It's a beast: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyKcNNeQTEM

So basically turn it back into a 458?

Currently my desktop wallpaper.

The Audi A2 was the same IIRC.

There's a mistake. The Avenger was sold in the UK: www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/cars/dodge/avenger/postcode/b66he/radius/1500/quicksearch/true
And I think most European states as well. -- Last edit: 2012-01-04 22:52:58 |
